AdamLocker Ransomware Overview[]
The AdamLocker ransomware is a screenlocker malware which is also known under the alias RW.adm_64. It follows the usual behavior patterns by encrypting target user files. Like other similar viruses this includes the most commonly used data – various multimedia (music, photos and videos), backups, configuration files and etc. All affected files receive the .adam extension.
In addition the malware also gathers system information from the infected hosts. The computer's behavior is also modified to maintain a persistent infection.

AdamLocker Ransomware Distribution[]
The first malware samples were identified in December 2016 and primarily targets English-speaking users. The ransomware is distributed using various techniques – spam email messages, browser hijackers, malicious ads and etc .
